kosmonooit Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 Vuelta just around the corner ... hopefully we will see some fireworks there.
Gen Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 Wonder if the guys will head over to Belgium and do some crit racing his week.. with Rio around the corner I am not sure if they will. Was good fun watching Froome and Sagan "race" each other last year the week after the tour.
Mntboy Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 [emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23] wrong MartinQ: What do you call an Irishman and a German with an English name? A: Martin Even more confusing is that they ride for the same team! Sent from my GT-S6790 using Tapatalk

I will also just add another great moment is Sagan working his butt off yesterday to help Roman get a top 10 in GC.. if you consider that he could've had an easier day with Champs-Elysées in mind.. so selfless.
Bonus Posted July 24, 2016 Author Posted July 24, 2016 So there you have it. Another year another Tour. Next year I will be better prepared to watch a stage or two live (ie I will make sure I'm in the correct country!) :-)
Gen Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 Peter’s strong ride crowned a great edition of the Tour for the UCI World Champion. “The Tour de France has always been good for me - the last two years I didn't win but this year I won three stages and I'm happy for that. I always try to give my best and nearly got a fourth today. I started my sprint a little late today, but Andre did a good sprint and I'm happy for him to have won a stage too. Everybody's happy. Now after the Tour de France I can go and relax a little bit, and I will then go for the mountain bike at the Olympics. It would be something special for me as I started in mountain bikes. That would be nice.” On a side note The harder they make it for him the more points he scores[emoji6]
scotty Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 I think you're confusing Tony with Dan the Man. Tony's the one out with a bum knee. [emoji23] [emoji23] [emoji23] wrong Martin
Mntboy Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 As Gen and I have said the two of them can easily be confused for the other especially being on the same team. Easy mistake to make. Nice win for TdF King Throome! Sent from my GT-S6790 using Tapatalk
TALUS Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Sagan on a MTB. Top 5? If Karma smile on him it is possible.
Vetseun Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 My Opinion: At the start of the race, I thought that this going to be epic. The loss of Contador was a big let down.Porte's puncture that effectively put him out of running ftw.So I waited for Quintana to launch the attacks that he had been talking about forever.Im still waiting. As Chris Froome showed us, to win the TDF you have to take some risks. The seemed to be an inability or unwillingness by some teams to do this. I was longing for a race like a few years ago when teams took turns to attack Jan Ulrich and his team over and over again until he eventually cracked. It just seamed to me that other teams were in such awe of the mighty team Sky that they were reluctant to dare to try their luck. There were a few minor attempts but no structured hit them over and over again until the pressure gets to them. But anyway, well done to Froome and team Sky. A fine effort, calculated risks taken. Deserved winners.
Gen Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Sagan on a MTB. Top 5? If Karma smile on him it is possible.Lol.. I think a top 10 would be a great result.. one thing is for sure he will bring in the crowds and he will give it his best effort.
Mailman7412 Posted July 25, 2016 Posted July 25, 2016 Okay with this all done and dusted, I guess I have to start training for K2C now
