To say that Nairo Quintana, a dynamic climber who has legitimately challenged Froome in the past, was not at his best would be an understatement. Quintana’s entire Tour seemed like a lackluster disappointment. And yet, he somehow ascended the podium in Paris, an achievement that reflects his raw talent, his grit, and his tenacity as a stage racer. He had lots of mediocre days, but not one truly bad day or big mistake like Bauke Mollema, Richie Porte, Fabio Aru, and other riders who seemed poised to finish the Tour in a podium spot. Sometimes you can take measure of a racer not by how they perform when they are at their best but by how they survive when they are struggling.

Waiting for results on blood- and urine tests.

Seen some motor-doping rumors on FB that Nbali's seat tube got snapped glowing on the thermal camera.

Apparently ASTANA's lawyers are all over it.

An Astana rider doping?!?! I could never imagine such a thing.

Nibs was sucking in this tdf, do you think it was to try and draw attention away from himself?

Don't know if I trust FB-reports, but if I had to be true; He sucked so bad that they probably thought no one would suspect him by the third week.

One thing I do know is usually when things don't go as planned people make mistakes, or when people make mistakes things don't go as planned.

Which ever way, ASTANA's Tour definitely didn't go as planned.

They could have had a Guiness - Ireland are still in :-)

Imagine riding after a pint of that though?

“In relation with the suspects about the Vincenzo Nibali’s rear wheel rotation during his fall in today’s stage at Tour de France, the Astana Pro Team informs that during the three weeks of racing we have been subjected to the UCI checks daily, always resulting perfectly in order.

“The Astana Pro Team and Vincenzo Nibali reserve the right to take legal action in case someone will threaten the image of the Team or of the athlete.
