BouncingBrain Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Thanks guys.. Have checked Le Tour site now. I initially thought that was the last 1km. Only to realise they have the last 10km showing.
tombeej Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 My picks for today...CoquardBlingor Sagan Puzzling how Matthews has been so quiet up to now. Some of these finishes looked to have been tailormade for him. Maybe carrying a niggle or chest cold or something. But I was expecting to see a lot more of him.
mrclarinet Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 I doubt Hinault is loosing much sleep.... No disrespect to Cav but his wins are not on the same scale as BH's.Different time and era, wheel suckers delight now days This is an interesting perspective (not saying it is 'correct' and yours 'wrong' just different): All timeMerckx: 34Cavendish: 28Hinault: 28************Without time trialsCavendish: 28Merckx: 17Hinault: 7 from https://twitter.com/irishpeloton/status/749996854117531650 Of course, many might argue that a TT win is actually more impressive than a bunch sprint win anyway.
tombeej Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Anyone have the profile for today's finish? Apparently the finish is a 500m uphill sprint at 5% gradient.

Oxter Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 Apparently the finish is a 500m uphill sprint at 5% gradient.and a bump before the finish that if the peloton pushes could drop a few pure sprinters
Rocket-Boy Posted July 5, 2016 Posted July 5, 2016 I have such mixed feelings every time Cav wins a stage...On one hand I think he is an absolute chop and I cant stand him, on the other hand though he is riding for team DD and I will support them regardless(even if its not really a SA team anymore)
