Does riding an 11-32T cassette on a Road bike make me any less of a rider?

HI Guys

My area sees me needing to climb some steep hills. Does riding an 11-32 make me any less of a rider? Some say just get out the saddle and ride, i decided to do the same but with some assistance of the larger gears... Whats your views ?

Regards

What bike are you riding? And what crank?

The lighter gears will allow you to 'spin' easier without the need for knee-busting efforts on a 'taller geared' cassette. As you get stronger, you may have less need of the lighter gears and you can reassess your requirements.

If you're having fun, you're doing it right and what's right for one rider, may not be the right thing for another.

Many of the Pro riders are now on 52/36 with a 28 on the rear.

Ride whatever you comfortable with

Sometimes even I wish I had one. Lol. Different strokes.

That does not mean the meanies with not continue to take the micky of you, but ... that comes with the 32. So like it or ... ride it.

To uae 32T u need to change ur pully(?) to a long one if u have a normally one now.

If u have a standard crank set, rather change that to compact and use 12-28. Bec if u use 32T this means that ur gear ratio is bad on the flat road.
