I need to improve quite a bit to join this team... in terms of ability and seeding but I am keen for the tour next year from Jhb to Durban for the Shova.

Will work hard for the next year, and the remaining few weeks of this year - 1 handed on the Cycleops.

Will possibly make the trip up for the R4S and Emperors to improve my seeding - sucks being in Durban with only 2 seeding events a year

Ok, so maybe we should set up a group (whatsapp maybe?) to communicate times and meeting places...

What are your thoughts on that?

I was thinking a similar thing, though the down side to that is anybody not in that group won't be able to latch on last minute (though I guess that gives them incentive to be one of the cool kids :P )

And that what makes them a 'must do' on the calendar.

For the Tour Durban, the road surfaces are almost all brand new - super smooth, beautiful.

It's in April, the best time of year in DBN - sunny beach weather, hardly any wind.

Finish the race on the beachfront, put the bike down and run straight into the sea :). And everyone else is nipping in wintery Joeys.

But best of all, once you're done with the big M7 climb, it's all fast and flat from there - pace line perfection :).

Believe me, you don't. Joining the team is a state of mind. Staying with them is another thing entirely, but that's how you get 'better' I suppose!
