Yesterday I applied to the Uni of Waikato to study economics and political science (the useless Labour government gives everyone their first year of study free, so instead of taking the principled stance against such largesse, I decided to rather avail myself of it). Applied around midday yesterday; this morning I received my acceptance letter. Didn't even have to provide any documentation at all, not even matric certificate which I seem to have lost somewhere along the way.Was fully expecting the acceptance letter to be a rejection letter...darn, now I have to study ha haI too am no labour fan...but one cannot argue with $12,000 worth of free tuition. intern 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

patches Posted April 18, 2018 Share For those who will be submitting residency from work applications and who qualify for PR fast tracking under the salary clause, I got this little bit of information from a mobility manager at EY. "The best way is to put a covering letter in that explicitly says as I earn over $90,000 per annum kindly request the grant of Permanent residence should my application be approved. It’s often just that case officers don’t know or think about it so you have to point it out to them" So there you have it. That simple cover letter may have been the difference between why a former colleague should have been fast tracked to PR, but was not.
