I'd also wait for the 2nd iteration.

"Adding GPS would be a logical addition," said George Jijiashvili, an analyst for CCS Insight, who specialises in wearable technology. "Being able to track your runs and listen to music via Bluetooth headphones without the need to carry your iPhone would certainly appeal to an 'active' segment of consumers and raise the Watch's overall utility."

However, Jijiashvili might be disappointed. The latest reports are saying that the Apple Watch 2 will not feature GPS, but instead will include a new Wi-Fi chip that can be used to track Apple Watch devices using Wi-Fi router triangulation tech.

Wifi triangulation may be useful in London or NYC, but doubt it will be of much use in our part of the world...

No it doesn't

From discovery's website:

Swipe your Clicks ClubCard at any Clicks till or your Dis-Chem card at any Dis-Chem till before the cashier rings up your items to earn cash back on HealthyCare items.

Your cash back will be converted into loyalty points and paid into your store card after each billing cycle, and you can view these details on www.discovery.co.za. Vitality members will not earn Vitality points for buying HealthyCare items.

You can use it to your advantage, I buy my cycling and running supplements (gu's/bars/water bottle powder) at Dischem, swipe and the loyalty card gets loaded, every other month I restock with supplements for free, pay by using my loyalty card.  The prices are often better than you can buy at other retail outlets.

Just because I do not get cash back like other discovery stuff, does not mean it cannot be utilised for my needs :)

So in reality am getting a discount on the supplements with a cash back loading on my loyalty card and every so often getting supplements for free by utilising what has accumulated on my loyalty card.. win, win !!

This month I got cash back for life insurance, health gear, team vitality and for using my Discovery Credit card ... let alone a free smoothie a week and my supplements from the loyalty card points :)

Next month should also start getting the gym booster.

I don't even know how to feel about this.

I've maxed out my Vitality Fitness Points, but the girlfriend likes the smoothies...

I guess you are just going to have to get used to shaving them more often ;-)

So Discovery has pushed out a message today saying that next week's goal has been adjusted to assist members with transitioning to the new criteria.  Only have 300 points to get next week lol.

I would assume that 1,200 weekly goal will be adjusted downwards too?!? *wishful thinking?*

They gave everyone 300, or it would seem that way.

Me on the otherhand, i moved from discovery to my company's medical aid which is also discovery underwritten/administrated or something and they stuffed up my application and cancelled my vitality.

And their callcenter is a joke.

On my application form i wrote to move my vitality, i phoned in after i sent my application saying please move it, yesterday phoned them and said please move it, today its not moved. I phoned and the lady on the move tells me why didn't i ask them to move it...HAHAHAHA

That IS the weekly goal that they've adjusted downwards. Over the next few weeks and months it'll be raised at intervals of 50 per week / increase until it gets to 1200 points again and you're comfortable with the new system

Also haven't received anything so let's see... 300 seems easy after being on 1200 from the start.

Sorry, badly phrased on my part.  What I meant was if the new maximum weekly target will be less than 1,200 going forward.  Based on your comment Myles, it doesn't look like it.

correct. Soft cap will remain at 1200 points, seeing as it's still bladdy easy to get there...
