You can say what you like about Discovery but 260 PAGES of social media commentary on SA's leading bicycle website is...well...PRICELESS.

Or you can just add that membership is not compulsory. Even if your company is on Discovery medical aid, Vitality is optional.

But you are forced in a way to have Vitality else it effects your life policy and investment funds. ie you miss out on a potential bonuses.

So then a 100 points standard.....it is part of the roooolz.....

Yes so every time they feel like changing the rules are you going to buy another device and incur more debt? Somewhere in these 261 pages was a device that was recommended by Discovery but now is no longer supported, so that was a waste on money. I see no refunds there!!!

Emphasised the important part for you there.

Sorry Rad if I missed it......do you have a heart rate monitor ?

No, he doesn't.

Why would we assume reading the thread before posting is the standard? Rad clearly stated he does not have a HRM and doesn't want to buy one.....oh dear.

Bit of a confusing article from our resident anti-unhappy activist.......

How does that work......"no penalties"......"but".....

Discovery Vitality has since said this: "Members can apply for the formal exceptions process by e-mailing vitalityreview@discovery.co.za with valid reasons why they can no longer participate in Vitality Active Rewards with Apple Watch."

Reasons could include a change to the member's health or fitness, or "due to the rules changes impacting their exercise regime in a manner that they are unable to accept".

A review committee will consider either cancelling or pausing their Apple Watch benefit - no penalties will be charged but, in the case of cancellation, what's still owing on the watch will have to be paid.

You are trying way too hard pal......is the little booth feeling a bit claustrophobic ?

But just to fill you in........he did subsequently say that he did have one and it;'s not on the approved list anymore........he has a point......I would also be pissed if I was him......

It's not a penalty if you have to pay the remaining balance on an outstanding contract for something that you're no longer willing to take part in.

the way I see it - you have 2 choices if you no longer want to take part. Cancel and pay the outstanding balance on the device, or just don't record or upload anything and treat it like a 2 year contract. 2nd option is the superior one from a financial perspective.

No, he didn't.. :)

He said he has no intention of getting one, and why would he if there's a potential it could be unapproved in the future....
