Thanks G, so where is the "climb" and it looks like easy big chain stuff right? Looks like a mass sprint race to me.

Big blade all the way.

There isn't any climb to speak of, but rather a long drag (slow poison) and a short 400m bump.

It's a good place for a break to get away and who knows, maybe stay away.

The FastOne uses most of this circuit, which includes the long drag and short bump.

Meeting with CSA officials didn't take place tonight due to a number of people being unavailable after the holidays. Will only get a chance to speak to them next week when we (hopefully) meet.

Seeing that I just wasted R550 on a CSA Racing license, I feel I am allowed to voice my opinion..... The organising of Gauteng Champs is pathetic to say the least, CSA demand that the riders have licenses, or take a day license, have correct kit, obey silly rules, give out fines in Francs and numerous other "international standard" rules and regulations, but their organisation is no where near International Standard. Years ago we had Grasskop Hill Climb champs, a really beautiful hard weekend, there were various Summer/Winter leagues in Pta, if you performed well, you were selected as a member of the Provincial team, and there were regular Inter Prov,s all over..... you got a Provincial jersey and decent recognition...now that was worth R550 license fee.... Todays Gauteng cycling is not ******* worth R550. Gauteng organisers, please take a good look at Mpumalanga champs, its a solid weekend of hard racing organised by HA Toere, there is a TT, a Hillclimb, a raod race and a Crit......now that I would gladly pay R550 for... Best bit is, the organisers complain when there is a poor turn out....WTF?

Organisers, I dare you to out source next years Champs to a Pro Company that specialises in Corporate events, just like HA Toere or Andre DeBeer that does the SPAR ladies race.... These guys know what they doing..... you clearly don't have a clue... You want SA cycling to grow, attract the crowds, and attract the numbers, so justify the R550 license fee and get your act together!

Mutual feeling, I am a Junior and want to race next weekend whuch means I need to buy a junior cassette (R250) I need a regular licence (R150) I need to join a club to get a racing licence (R150 cheapest) I need a racing licence (R350) I need to get TT bars (R800) and I need to get a entry (R330) all this just to be eligible for provicial colours.
