The stoep kakkertjies made the noise, then when that big woof came from behind the trees... big *** was coming.

How many official languages did they try that in ?  Maybe the dogs would have been fine with Ndebele and this was a needless and tragic loss of life.

 

 

All this is, is a little undiplomatic shooting with kids around.  Whilst explaining to them why the dog was shot, parents should carry on and say what's going to happen to the goats, sheep and chickens they've just been petting.

Conversation with my 3 1/2 year old (almost 4) in the meat section just the other day, while he's looking at the ribs & pork belly. 

 

"daddy, where do ribs come from?"

 

I give his ribs a bit of a knuckle.

 

"there, my boy. But we eat cow ribs and" (pause)

 

(him) "PIGGY RIBS!"

 

(me) "Yes, my boy. And do we eat human ribs?"

 

(him) "Nooooooo. We're PEOPLE. What's that?" - points to pork belly

 

(me) "Pig Belly" (rubbing his tummy)

 

(him) "Bellyyyyyyyy!?"

 

(me) "Yes, it tastes like bacon, but a little different"

 

(him) "okay. I like ribs. And belly."

I dont know the location of VG (hence close to local centres) - but if it was known that the dogs were killing farm animals - how come the SPCA was not called in earlier or a local Vet with a dart gun ?

 

Farmers have to shoot many, many more vermin on a daily basis.  They can't phone the SPCA or Vets for every feral dog, baboon, jackal, caracal, meerkat and warthog that is causing problems on their farms.  If they are forced to do that, our food prices will skyrocket.

I got a lesson in Anglo Saxon reading some of those comments. Most of them from pseudo-ladies. Sies man!

I don't think it is illegal.  I think it is just not right. 

 

A .373 breech loader needs to be shot open sights and must be heard.
