What keeps me awake at night is that turn into kyalami. we will be coming down that hill with speeds at about 70km plus. I guess one of the breaks will happen just after the turn into Kyalami then...while the guys at the back are still applying breaks or crashing into others. This scares me. HBO 1

I fell at the turnaround point at one of the Germiston Trinity event, slowest fall ever, not even a scratch on my hand. The difference is probably that at a triathlon you'll never have the same size bunches as at the 947, best to go ahead or stay back at this point. So its not the turn itself, but the number of people present at the turn that will be the issue. WRT Kyalami entrance, we should probably make sure our brakes are fully functional and start the slowdown very early in the approach, even if you lose contact with your group. Anticipate allot of warning signs from the organisers in the leadup to these points in the route. Dexter-morgan, HBO and Lostee 3
