I love MTB, and the JUMA is an awesome event...Just trying to give a little perspective to the moany masses who have to crack everything down.

Spot on. Many of us ride the spruit regularly and (touch wood) no ebola or similar contracted yet.

I went and registered yesterday. Sadly no beer at registration   They promised!

 

Anyway, it was a bit of a slow process because I had no SAS board and had to buy one and have it linked etc. They did all this while I was registering so all good!

Friend of mine got a free entry thanks to a very friendly hubber.

 

Only issue, apparantly the substitution fee for an entry is R300 (as per his jumpertrax profile), this sounds extremely steep. Has anybody done a sub yet, what did it cost?

I did a sub and it cost R50. R300 seems wrong! Maybe he added kit or something to the entry order?

Thanks for the reply, R50 sounds more reasonable. He says he phoned them and they said it was an admin fee but I will tell him to sort it out at registration, can't be 300.

My main issue is starting late, and missing the frikken beer tent, Certain Hubbers cant contain themselves at the beer tent, and there will certainly be nothing left by the time I drag my ass over the line...
