Must say I like the review of the Revelation Iwan.  Probably also more in the price range i'm willing to spend.  How is support for Rockshox in SA?

I can't comment on warranty claims ....but parts and spares are everywhere and the forks themselves are stupid easy to work on :)   #rockshoxforever

Next question, what are the implications of going from the current 120mm fork to 130mm or even 140mm?  I know obviously all the angles slacken, but is there some golden rule of what the max ratio of front to rear suspension can be?  Will 140mm upfront work with 120mm at the back, or should i stick to 130mm max?

The thunderbolt would do BRILLIANTLY with a 140mm fork. There is actually such an animal sold by RM, which is the Thunderbolt BC edition. Basically what it is, but with more GNARRRRR and more confidence inspiring geo. due to the better head angle.

I ride the DVO and it is by far the best fork I have ever ridden. I'm glad to see it's getting good mentions here.

We spaced a Diamond down to 140mm and put it on a Pyga 120. Possibly a little overkill for that frame but the owner loves it.

Noit...most definitely not overkill...my 120 prefers my Mattoc Pro run at 150mm instead of 140 anyway.  It's o.e seriously underrated frame

I should've written "little" in italics :P

I mean in the sense that the DVO Diamond is a fork which is completely tuneable for different types of terrain. You can set it up to be happy on some DH courses. Not just fit and forget. It's stiffer than a Pike and a couple of hundred grams heavier.

Great. Very little issues and support is top-notch.

Rev has a shorter Axle 2 Crown so 140mm will give you the same angles as 130mm Fox.

Disclaimer: last time I checked. Anybody with recent info who can chip in?

Ok, so last very stupid question.  On the spec sheet for my bike all it says is tapered steerer, but from what i can see you get a few different steerer diameters.  Am I correct in assuming my RM has a 1 1/8" - 1.5" steerer?

I keep recommending this thing because its been months and I've still never seen one.

Still looking for reviews that are beyond 'first look'

From what I can gather its a revelation in a 35mm chassis.

So kinda like a pike for the people. At least 3k cheaper according to CRC

If you're considering a rev this would be worth looking at.

yes. assumed correctly. Just check steerer length if you're looking around in the classifieds

Nope, it's like a Lyrik for the people :) Same chassis as the lyrik, so stiffer than the Pike.
