Hairy Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 You build a 29er / 650b / 26er up with identical specs and let's say a carbon hardtail, the 26er will always be lighter. I always find it amusing when periods say they moved from their 26er to their current 29er wonder bike, as a vast majority are coming off basic and poorly specced bikes onto their new and wonderfully specced and suspended 29ers .......there is your main improvement, not the majestic wheel sizE upgrade. Just saying #Friday
