Simply just used his taxi side rammed me off the road and drove on.He even looked back seeing me laying in the road.

For now just the knee, elbow, shoulder and back. Will have it checked out.IT hurts.

No.That's just crappie part. You try and get a hold of yourself and people try and assist but you not thinking of that.

I know the feeling I got smashed by a hit and run white bakkie a while back - the number plate is not what you do first

its like stop tumbling on ground - check bike - then check body -then check traffic then start swearing ...at damages and pains..

at least you are alive and functional but it really sux

strength bro  :(

Sorry to hear, all the best with the healing!

Doubt if reg number would have made a difference, will be fake anyways.

This is the reason i am not and will not cycle on routes with taxis. Love my family too much.

Argh, sorry to hear off your incident. Hope your injuries aren't to bad and you heal up soon.

Had quite a few close encounters with Taxis myself, can't argue with these guys, they are always 'wright'.It seems as though Taxi bosses scrape the bottom of the moral fibre barrel to find these guy's, just one step above politicians.

Terrible that this still happens.  Hope injuries are not serious.

When I launched the Stay Wider of the Rider campaign a scary stat I came across was that over 80% of bike/vehicle accidents are when the vehicle is approaching from behind the bike.  Rear lights are more important that front.  I often see riders with very bright flashing white lights on the bars and nothing on the back.

I use a Cycliq Fly6 light with integrated HD camera.  It's always on, filming what's coming up behind me in HD. I'd recommend it to anyone who rides on a road.
