A gripe I have is that when I'm in the early morning bunches, it is ALWAYS the guys with the best carbon bikes, the best kit... that always show up with either FKALL or the smallest useless possible headlight... and then insist on riding next to people that coughed up the money for a decent headlight.

As mentioned above . . .

Man, people who can't spell annoy me . . . . .

comunity = community

sheath - stealth?? (assuming the guy wasn't actually wearing a "Condom" as a skin suit.

a breast = abreast - otherwise it is actually "a breast" ;-)

Ceder = Cedar

cause = 'cause (if you insist of abbreviating the word)

menssioned - mentioned

Commrads Marathon = Comrades Marathon

your = you're

cause = (see above)

Also - Not enough use of capital letters or exclamation marks.

4/10 for the rant.

"Could try harder"

well said....

Are you a teacher?

Too true ....

Now that's a proper rant .....

It's all about the weight, but the weight, but the weight, no trouble.

Your kids, your partner, your family and friends all do things that you dislike or hate! Yet you don't dislike them as a result.

So do you really dislike roadies who, yadda, yadda, yadda!?

In celebration of this thread, I have just ordered a full set of black Rapha kit. Thanks for the inspiration Adam.

Rapha is exempt from criticism! Promise! It's in "the rules" somewhere!

The title was there to get your attention (job done), for the rest of the post, I tried to make what I thought were valid points... and obviously failed

1 don't ride in stealth and expect to be seen,

2 wearing headphones is also stupid

3 which other 'sports' are allowed to participate on public roads - maybe we should be a bit more respectful and make ourselves as visible as possible.

4. In an accident you will always come off second best - (75kg+9kg) @ 50km/h vs. 2000kg @ 80km/h

In future I will stick to what a do best... helping out riders who have technicals and don't have the correct tools with them

You handled it well, agree with you generally. Most guys were just having fun, it was the weekend after all.

On a related note - I've started using flashing lights permanently when riding on the road. Front and rear.

So far it's only a perception but I'm sure cars are giving me a wider berth.

Of course it should be completely unnecessary but I figure anything to make me safer is a good thing and so far it seems to be working.

I'm very aspris with those okes. I'll ride exactly behind them and put my Extreme Lights XP7 (big mutha) on full brightness casting a lekker shadow right in front of them.

100% how I do it! And I agree with you about drivers giving me more room when I have the lights on. Bright ones, bright enough to be a warning in the middle of the day. Except, they don't work on mommies picking up their little precious from school. Those cannot be warned with a nuclear explosion in the rear view mirror!
