My wife used to make kiddies cakes, she was real good at it. She once completed a cake after a good few hours, put it on the kitchen counter, accidently knocked it over and it smashed into pieces. She ran crying to the bedroom....

I ran out to a TuisNuwenhous (no idea on spelling) to get a cake, she decorated it a bit and we delivered as such....lol

The only coffee you get at a NG Kerk kerkbasaar is normally Ricoffy.

Much better chance for the tart and something to eat

True. Most people go for the tuisnywerheid stuff so they don't really bother to have decent coffee!

We use to grow the bell shaped habaneros. They came in various colours and potencies.

I always thought habaneros were as potent as chillis could get. But apparently the strongest is Bhut Jolokia from northern India. Never saw nor tasted them though. It might be worth trying to find out where to get some.

My Dad has some Habeneros growing in his veggie patch...very yummy. For an off the shelf sauce one of my favorites is the habenero sauce from Banditos...goes nicely on boiled eggs (and everything else)

DAMN it not even 9 o'clock and I'm hungry again....I hate this thread....

Contemplated making my own, but then realised how much sugar it needs!!!

My gran used to make watermelon marmalade from watermelon "skin" - the part you don't normally eat...lots of sugar required and so long as you don't need pots or the stove top for a day or two...that's how long she would simmer it for.

DAMN IT! hungry....

Yeah watermelon konfyt. I have yet to find someone who makes it as good as how my Gran did.

Not sure if its the same though. as I know marmalade.

Watermelon konfyt you basically eat the skin which has been boiled in sugar.
