I would go for the MRP Stage, super slick fork!

Guide RS's or hopes :-p

Flow MK3 on Hope Pro 4

Not a reverb dropper, something else, anything really...

MRP Stage for the win for me no doubt (very seldom mentioned when anybody is looking to build ????.?? ). Guide RS all day long ,top notch...Flow ( eerrr ok) on hope, yea sweet . And a reverb for the win. Tut tut...fatherhood making you delirious ????

SRAM could also be run 2 x 11 - GX has a 2 x 11 specific rear dr - awesome bit of kit with a 42/10 cluster capability - more than 2 x 11 shimano which limits it to 40/11 I think (not 100% on that)

I agree with V12. Don't go mixing Shimano in with an otherwise fully SRAM build. Maybe I'm just a bit OCD, but get the GX 2x11...please.

even though I prefer Shimano, in the case I'd agree.

Other keep it simple/uniform and clean.

Hi Guys,

My father-in-law is building up a new Pyga Stage and I would just like to get a bit of information with regards to any alternative part options. A bit of info, it must be 2x11 and rider weight of 104kg.

So this is the build plan:

Frame - Pyga Stage

Wheels - Flow Ex on Hope

Fork - SID/Pike/Reba, and other 120mm option?

Rear - Monarch

Groupset - XT 2x11

Brakes - Guide Ultimates

Seatpost - Reverb Stealth

If you were to change anything what would it be?

Thanks [emoji106]

Seatpost is 30.9. You can save a lot of $$ by substituting a Fox Transfer post with internal routing for the Reverb Stealth. I have both and the Transfer works better. The new Lyne dropper might be available in a suitable length....even cheaper than Transfer.

Remember the plus5 chainline concept on Stage....that rear wheel must be built symmetrical with no dish or it will sit off-centre from the frame.

Not a lot of love for reverbs here.

Dont know why, I've got two, one of which I've had for four years and it's still Aces.

Have a KS for comparison and while its good, the reverb still comes out trumps.

I'd only run a reverb if someone else paid for the services.

The Guides are suffering the same problem. Rebuilt 5 last week. Okay the 5th one was too far gone and needs a new lever.

Reliability and cost of servicing/rebuilding.

KS costs in the region of R150 to service every year. Go ask your LBS what the Reverb costs to service because you usually have to rebuild with their seal kits.

At least you can get kits for them - Shimano..... replace the unit...

That said - I have not had any trouble with mine in more than 2000km of racing - it's probably more than 3000 but who splits hairs...

My Reverb works fine but the remote lever action on Transfer is lighter and the cost of a Transfer is around 60% the cost of a Stealth Reverb. Transfer is also easier to fit for a home builder doing internally routed frames....no disconnecting hydraulic lines, buying the bleed kit and special oil (not the same as fork oil), spilling oil inside the frame and re-bleeding when you connect.... I'm so over the hassle factor. Transfer took all of 10 minutes from the box to fitted and working

Reverb pricing is out on its own planet at present.

Whatever you do listen to Myles...

Go Pike or MRP 140, nothing less. Reverb is brilliant.

Can send my build spec if you want.
