it's time - I believe ( ) gonna hook up the DSTV again just for the duration of this - can't deal with the buffering and the inconsistent streaming sites

I think he is in a better position team wise this year...last year having that #$$@@$/&%!!Costa thing on the team was a big issue.Guys should be more focused on helping Louis this year and really the main focus must just be to protect him on the flat stages.

I would rather take 8 riders to the tour than 9 including Costa.  If him and Valverde get in a break a black hole is created.

Ben Swift will be useful on the flats, his time on chappies and the wind has been good training. ( I can attest to this :) )

Predictions...Froome to have some sort of incident loose time and come second. Porte to have the usual off day and miss the podium. Quintana will be 3rd as he will forget he is supposed to win and somebody else will sneak the win.

...while wheelsucking Froome... :D

Took long enough, probably had to wait for Marcel to get his hair just right for the photo shoot. :D

If you are Chris Froome, Nairo, Estaban Chaves , Aru or Alberto Contador you go to bed praying that there are no crazy cross winds. Dan Martin's only real chance of top spot.

Guys, who would you say is the new "Jens Voigt" in the modern peloton?

Tim Wellens?

In terms of voice in Peleton, Bernard Eiesel is rather similar.

In terms of shut up legs, there are a lot of contenders. The problem is, you don't ever see them on TV as their job sitting on the front is 90% done when the TV camera's turn on.

Luke Rowe did an amazing Jens impression previously, suffering for a climber.

Genius but my wife will make me dead... I think I am hooking up the TV in the pain cave for this and putting Zwift / cycleops on the laptop screen... That way I can watch both.

I remember DM hitting the deck at the Giro in Belfast back in 2014. Wet roads and a manhole cover if I remember correctly.

He certainly is a fighter though. Looking forward to seeing him ride :-)

Edit: All in the family . . .

"However, you only have to look at his heritage to realise he was destined for great things. Son of british pro Neil Martin, his mother is the sister of Stephen Roche and his cousin is Team Sky rider Nicolas Roche"

I'm thinking more in terms of crazy break away attempts.....

Pierre Rolland was entertaining in the Giro this year... good form it seemed since he was in the break A LOT and got a fantastic stage win.

I had a conversation with a friend about this.. that they don't seem to have a plan.. again we can see all eggs in the Cav basket for an early yellow and stages with Cummings. ..

Argh I am not excited about the team....besides for Cummings and Twait.

Personally I think they should dedicate EBH and RJVR to the green jersey comp. They both have the ability to finish high up in sprint finishes and can both also climb ok..especially EBH.

Make Sagan work for the green for a change..that will be far more of a plan to me.But that will mean they both need to not worry about a Cav lead out..They just need to sit/surf wheels and finish top 5 and then hunt points on the road.
