I have spoken to cyclelab about the servicing of the fork and apparently the new fork is more durable and doesnt need to be serviced as often as the forks on the 2016 models and earlier. I am not against paying for servicing but I would be servicing the "brain" every 6 weeks with the riding I do and this will add to the overall costs rapidly...

Cyclelab said with my mileage I should only have to service the Lefty only every 3,5 - 4 months on my mileage....

Cycle lab speak absolute bollocks. I was told by one of their salesman the other day that only a cannondale crank will work on the scalpel.

Secondly the 2016 scalpel was also fitted with a Lefty2.0. So no difference on internals there either.

Left 2.0 internals have changed : www.cannondale.com/mandatoryservicebulletin.

We have developed a completely redesigned spring system that not only eliminates previous performance issues of the Wave Spring and Coil upgrades to Solo Air in certain Lefty forks, but it is a leap forward in ride quality, performance and durability. The new system is called 2Spring, and it will be equipped on all new Lefty forks. In keeping with our commitment to our riders, 2Spring will also be available for a limited time as a free upgrade to all riders with Lefty forks that used the prior Wave Spring or Coil upgrades to the Solo Air system.

My choice in bike would be the Scott Spark RC though as. Scott is the better value bike of the lot. Also the Spark and Camber is a trail bike, Scalpel is XC. Bit of a difference.

Spark is XC, Genius is a Trail Bike

Nope. The 2017 Spark models have 120mm travel front and back and a 67 degree head angle, that's trail.

Only the 2017 Spark RC model still has the 100mm travel, don't know about headangle though...

I stand corrected.

Have just (mid Sept) moved from the Spark 910 to a SI Carbon 2

The Scott was a great bike. Light for the spec and handled well, but the Scalpel absolutely kills it in every department. I know the new Spark has slightly different geometry but compared to my 2013 model the SI climbs MUCH better and handles and descends WAY better.

I thought I'd miss the twin-lock system on the Scott but hasn't crossed my mind since the switch.

Guys asked if i was using a stabaliser for my gopro footage from a bar mount at Berg and Bush. I said ya, it's called Lefty!

Only complaint is the Racing Ralph Evo tires - absolute shite!

Scott Spark RC = Spec Epic = Cannondale Scalpel

Scott Spark 2017 = Spec Camber = (Don't know Dales haha)

Scott Genius = Spec Stumpy/Enduro

I assume the OP is looking at the Scott Spark RC with the type of riding he is doing.
