I would be surprised if MvDP wins this one as well it would be his 3rd CX race in 3 days. I'll put money on the well rested Thibaut Nys & WVA instead but would also be happy if MvDP makes me eat my hat.

WVA eliminated himself yet again. Up to Nys now for the fight.

Fun experience to see the riders up close and to experience the atmosphere. But, as with most sports, following the race is way better on TV. 

 

Got some nice photos though, will share once back at the WiFi connection at our accommodation.

Nice photos. Atmosphere must've been electric. Could you pick up any hostilities in the crowd towards MvDP, he deliberately got smoke blown into his face from one of the spectators today. Luckily not beer again this time.

Nah, no real hostility towards him. Actually found support for him wherever we stood, always shouts of GO MATTHIEU when he passed.

But, obviously the cheers for WOUT were on another level given the race was in Belgium. 

(On the photos: I decided to carry along a decent camera on Holiday instead of trying to capture stuff with the cellphone camera. Photo quality is worth the effort.)

And the salty Belgians strike again. Clearly there are still some that hate MVDP with a passion. These are not isolated situations 2nd incident within in 7 days and these are just the incidents caught on camera.
