It may be handy to list all the annual mountain bike permits available in the Western Cape.

 

Many trail networks are already selling their 2017 permits. Please add more if you have info.

I've been told that you can get the permit for each of the 'team'. You do however need to download the activity permit form from the SANPARKS website and have each member sign it. You then have to take each members ID together with their ID photies and signed forms and you can get the permits on their behalf.

I'll be trying this with my family members later in the week.

Moving from  Paarl to Durbanville and decided to join Tygerberg MTB, just thought I would put it out there that it was such an absolute pleasure working with them smooth, easy and well organised. Very impressed and looking forward to my riding there.

Yes, I just bought four permits this morning. No one are related. Just make sure you have all the forms signed, 2 ID photos each and a copy of everyone's ID.

How accurate is helderberg? they were 400 for this year?

 

I have been holding out for them to open in december to get a 2017 permit, they told me in nov they open in dec and last night they told me only in jan...

Have to wait and get a new one.

​I've done it the last 2 years for myself and friends/family.

​You can take the signed forms but you'll still have to sign the activity cards themselves on their behalf so start practicing.

​Normally do it at the airport, takes 5minutes at the big tourism desk at the front.

• Level 1 – Dog-walking (R250)
• Level 1 - Multi User Level 1 card additional member (R90.00)
• Level 2 – Hang-gliding and paragliding, sport climbing (R370)
• Level 3 – Horse-riding, mountain biking, line fishing and transport (R500)
• Level 3 - Additional member (R215.00)
