Helps if I actually put water in the bag which is being done now.

Patchie .... where are your folks? they ok ? they need a hand let us know.

again, in helping the elderly, its about the smoke, not the fire.

EDIT: outta here

The map has slightly outdated stuff - but gives an idea of whats going on.

Basically, every hill has a fire of some sort.

It is crossing into grabouw. and also over to Jonkers

Most people have realised they need to get their pets out. Its not the fire they need to worry about, it is the smoke.

SWNW is doing a great liason job.

@philip, heathersage did go up on the other side of the river and some other arsonist decided to burn the cricket field at radloff.

If I catch an arsonist, I will tie him to a tree in the path of the fire. They will never be able to proof anything. There will be nothing left over. Maybe then in his last moments he will understand the terror that he unleashed onto the victims of his fire, both human and animal.  :cursing:

Thanks for the offer, but they are ok for now. They are up next to the nature reserve.

Think they are out helping as we speak.

Good luck dude!

Grief, an Orangutan!!

Were these kept in private estates (ie) Residential? Surely that cant be legal, especially an Orangutan.

The Baboons may survive if left to their own devices but I am not sure about the Vervets, surely they will be killed by the resident wild Baboons if they make it into their territory.

As for the Orangutan..............cant see it surviving, its not found locally and its a big powerful animal,..... it can only end badly for this poor creature.

Again one has to ask what are these flippen people thinking keeping them in the first place.

Edit..

I read a bit further on that FB page..it was at a rescue center.

Hah,.........Yes, that is a very important point that was left out. Been a rescue centre makes a big difference.

Anyway, its good to hear there is no Orangutan and at least the Baboons are safe, but I fear the Vervets will not survive.

..But the question still stands with regard to the Orang. Where was it rescued from?
