Cat-i is good motivation.  Her breathing down your neck helps to motivate me.

That and the fact that I either cycle to work (1:15 +- min) or take the S-Bahn/train (1:10 min) it is a no-brainer for me.  I also need to knock as much as possible in the next two months as the most of August I am out (will be in SA) and then it is only September and maybe Oct if we do not have early snow.

Cati-i's motivation had to bake cakes and things this week - and you can see it on the leaderboard!

Did manage to commute 3 times this week, but when I'm not riding with Nancy it's the shortest way in and out (and hard to get out when it's still very dark).

Sunset in JHB is now 5:25. The earliest it sets in the year is 5:23, so at least we're close to the limit although it's a looong time before it returns.

Where is my cake then?  :(

Sun sets now close to 21:30.  But having two kids at home requires me to get home asap. Maybe I can make up for some lost time the last week of August when the girls are all still in SA.  There would be enough time to put in 3-4 hours of cycling in the afternoon.  Just don't think the legs would survive.

No, no, no! No need to make up for any lost time - you're ahead in the middle-bunch challenge at the moment anyway  :whistling:

My bloody Endomondo keeps letting me down .... started the app on the way home yesterday, checked it, got home and it just recorded 2 seconds :(

No way can add this manually, and if you can, is this considered by the group to be a legitimate ride?

If you can add it manually, then add it. I don't have a problem with it.

Doubt we will catch Willem now. His commute is way longer than mine.

No problem from my side if you can add manually.

How does endomondo work? Do I have to run it as a seperate app? So at the moment my garmin connect and strava are linked. So all I do is have my BT on both edge and phone, Ride and garmin connect uploads then it syncs with strava automatically after I finish and save ride. I am keen to join but if I have to run the app on my phone while commuting it will become a schlep for me as I will forget and don't really like messing around with my phone. Can I sync it with garmin connect?

Yes, you can sync with Garmin connect. Create a profile on Endomondo if you don't have one yet, have a look under settings. Garmin connect is listed there. PM me if you don't come right and I will send you screen shots of mine.
