Hi all

We're entered for this weekends Summer Fast one, but at the moment the route is looking like a damm, and mud, and thats before 500 riders descent onto it...

Not keen on destroying retailers.

SO, hands up, hows your local trail looking, looking for a 50km loop, not a mud pit.

Whats the venue name, can you post a google link/map or do I just enter Buffelsdrift in Google Map.

Buffelsdrift is looking decent. Rode there yesterday. Some muddy patches, but all avoidable.

About an hours drive from you...

Whenever it's a muddy mess after some rain, i enjoy riding my Sawyer even more than usual. It's fitted with a Gate's carbon belt drive sytem (has a split frame to be able to fit the belt drive) and go look for some mud. It goes through mud pits like a hot knife through butter, it's a blast! So, my point is, when it's muddy, go ss as there will be no chain suck, no need to replace the drive train and no lube required on the belt drive.

Kindly post some more pics of that schweet ride   in the  SS  MTB thread if you don't mind.

It will inspire good gumption for the weekend.

SS should always be the answer...
