Need help here Quick

My stans tape is to narrow for my rim 22mm tape 30mm rim.

 

Already tried doing tubeless with it failed miserably.( when mounting tyre and adding sealent the tape just starts to pull away, and yes i can apply the tape right  ) Now what else can i use ? No one stocks 30mm tape localy.

 

I am not going to use gorilla tape cause it just absorbs all the sealent and my wheel already weighs 100000000kg.

 

I have A bunch of insulation tape but don't really trust it.

 

Any ideas appreciated

I used this , did the job. Just don't know if they make a size for 30mm rims.

Try a different shop.  I have two different types of wide tape here.

 

The Stans tape is rubbish.

Get narrower rims

The American Classic rim tape would work.

 

Made at 30mm for the Wide Lightening wheelsets.

 

Cape Cycle systems supply pretty much every single bike shop so........

I used this , did the job. Just don't know if they make a size for 30mm rims.

Before I had proper tubeless rims I also used these. They work well but from time to time the valve starts to tear away from the tube part and no amount of sealant sealed it. Otherwise its a very good alternative to tape.

Do a proper ghetto tubeless setup, if you don't wanna do gorilla tape.

 

Lightweight tube, cut down the middle, mount tyre with the tube's flaps on the outside then cut off the excess.

I use this for all the wider rims.  Comes in 25mm or 48mm wide rolls.  I put the 48mm roll onto the lathe, mark out the width that I want and cut with a carpet knife.

Does Gorilla Tape leave sticky residue when removed and is it a biatch to get off?
