I bought 600 buck Alpinestars they fell apart in 2 weeks, bought some giros same problem

the shifter and brake finger both wore through in 2 weeks, roughly 12 hours of riding a week.suggestions please? thanks

You must be doing something wrong for 2 different pairs of gloves to fall apart after 24 hrs of riding

I suggest a bike set up by a professional......

I bought a pair of Fox mx gloves from Yamaha used them on the bike but they are so cumfy I have been using them on the bicycle as well. Nice about them rubber grip patches at brake fingers that really helps in wet conditions. After almost a year they are still perfect.

I've been using Fox Dirt Paws for almost 2 years now and no wear at all. I got them Full Throttle who i must say have a huge range with competitive pricing.

Which Branch? The last time I was in Cresta and Edenvale, it looked like a Russian supermarket. Nothing.

Dude...I have had a pair of Leatt gloves for about 1.5 years now...Excellent and only show sighs of wear where I have had a decent off on them. And then only on the back side of the glove, not palm side. So those will be my go to from now on.

Grip tape on the shifters and brake levers  :whistling:

I've used a pair of Fox, Thor MX, Giro and Fly gloves all with no issues. Tore my Fox and Thor on a few offs but had them stitched. All except for the Giros were bought from Full Throttle Clearance's bargain bin for not more that R100 when ever I was up that way.

I have a pair of Mechanix Gloves at home that I use in the garage for TIG welding. They might work on a MTB...

anyone used mechanix gloves?

I had a pair, one tumble, tore them to pieces.

Rode with a set of alpinestar mx gloves for 4 years, replaced them with the mentioned mechanix, replaced the mechanix with first ascent gloves. still to see how long they last.
