Hope, without a doubt, but some may say i am biased.

You are.

But then so am I, but for the purposes of this conversation I dont think the OP will gain more by changing his entire braking system...

I stand by a proper bleed and bigger rotors

Those would be SM-RT81 (centerlock) or SM-RT86 (6-bolt). They're the XT ice-tec ones. You also get XT non-ice-tec ones which are SM-RT-76/79. All of these are available in 160mm, 180 mm and 203mm.

Where can I go and look for the 203mm?? CWC only stock 160mm they have to order!! and its like R1000 plus for 1 rotor!

Your Deore levers and calipers have the same hydraulics as XT and SLX. Considering your weight and in this order:

1) Have your brakes checked out for air (bleed) and alignment so that you can be sure there are no issues.

2) increase your rotor size to 203 front and 180 rear. You'll also need to buy adapters to space the calipers out for this conversion. This will noticeably increase stopping power. If budget permits the Ice-tech rotors will increase it even more at speed when the brakes are hot.

Have you even used your brakes seeing you have only done 146km on your bike??

Deore is absolutely fine.

Read up on bleeding your brakes

Just the lever. Nothing more. Trekking version either for hardkore Spock fans, or people who like to buy recumbents and / or hybrid trekking bicycles and brake with all their fingers.

Neither will sort out your problem.

We say it again - bleed, bigger discs, new pads. THE END.

That, or some new 4 pot brakes. Things like the SRAM Guide series, Shimano Zee / Saint, Hope E4 / V4.

Any specific brake pads in terms of ceramic, organic etc?
