As the other comments point out it is not being dominated at all. Hyperbole rocks until the facts are wrong.

The riding standard at the EWS has been improving hugely but if you look at Graves, he hasn't done nearly as well since switching off Yeti where he rode a 26er and then a 650B.

Not to mention that good ole Sam Motherfkn Hill is still rockin 650's and would probably have stayed on 26 if he had a choice.

Regarding Graves, just remember that there is a difference between correlation and causation.

Agreed. I merely throw that and the fact that Sam Hill last won World Cups in 2014 on a 26er to show that the argument can be thrown right back at whoever chooses to say one wheel size is inherently or always better than another, for instance.

I dont think there will be too many reroutes for tracks this year - so it will be interesting to see what the teams do regarding bikes and wheels.

remember that under UCI regulations you cant have 2 different wheel sizes on your bike - they need to be the same - so you cant run 650B rear with 29er front.

Im keen to see how the big wheel bikes fare on the big tracks - Mt St Anne and Fort Bill ... the rocks there are immense - and i honestly think the big wheels may well be an advantage.

Not sure about Val di Sole and Andorra though .. tight and twisty and steep - better suited for smaller wheels IMO....

I do thing we can all agree that the suspense of the DH season kicking off is really building up now!

Best thing we did recently was get a new internet service provider..... I can now stream Redbull TV smoothly and have hooked the laptop up to the TV with an HDMI cable, so this years viewing is just going to be awesome for me :)

RedBull TV was a source of serious frustration last year. Let's hope it's not the same this year.

God. As if dealing with lawyers all day at work isn't enough.

Sorry.  I meant to say that 29" wheels are doing perfectly well in the men's, and dominating in the women's division, so I doubt that there's an inherent issue with riding bigger wheels down gnarly tracks.

26 for life though, right?

FFFFFFFUUUUUUU

Why did I think Ravanel was also on big wheels.  So it was just Moseley clean sweeping on them?

Fine dammit.
