Will racetec be there on the morning of the race? Need to collect my chip

They normally are present at races in the morning for exactly that and to check if your chip is working... also to set up their mats. But maybe Frosty can give a definite response.

I am 30, turning 31 2 days before the Fast One. Will I have to go to VA or my seeding decides? Or I choose when I sign up for a race?

If you can hang with the front bunch easily in A you can ride vets. The only difference in my opinion is that the attacks are harder, longer and alot.

Like Long wheel base stated that you must like bleeding threw your eyes. VA is alot safer than A. The only reason I am racing open is that for the past 6 months I was sick or injured and couldn't do my usual training.

Is the seeding then done on a 1st come 1st served basis so to speak.

late entries go into the available batches on a first come first serve basis, but not in the seeded batches.

And they love the wind... if there is a cross wind, get ready to suffer in the gutter.

Hi Frosty,

Not sure if it has been mentioned...but on Cycle Events the closing date is 24 October 12:00 and on your site it says that ONLINE ENTRIES HAVE NOW CLOSED - which is correct?

Going to make cross-winds that much more exciting.

A bit of a game of chicken.

Early warning from the traffic officials... anyone crossing the white line has to be DQ’d immediately (neutralized as they put it).

Just got an sms and email to collect my number at cycle labs and venue. What should be the target time to finish this race if I am aiming to do a sub-3 for 94.7?

Obiously depending on the conditions on the day, but I would say a 2h30-2h40

A lot riding on the wind. Managed a 3:11 in this last year and a 2:54 in 947.

Also, don't get dropped.

Hey all,

aiming for a 3:40 947

what would be the equivelent for the macsteel

What if I told you that the licensed riders finish the 947 about 5-10 minutes quicker than this event? At least when they did the 103km event.

This event is 10km longer with half the elevation, yet bunch times times are very similar (probably 20-mins apart).
