How do you keep your ears warm?

I realise that this topic may lack the gravitas necessary to receive serious replies but after 10 minutes of my early morning ride this morning my ears were freezing.

Other bits were insulated - a nice base layer from enjoyfitness - fleecy arm warmers - gloves - and the legs were working so not cold once I got going, cheeks covered with mamilian beard fur ..... but my ears were like ice cubes and got colder as the ride progressed.

Nobody would call me wingnut either, ears don't stick out too far although as I've got older they have got larger somehow, so I'm wondering: Is this a common cycling problem?

How do you solve it?

First oke to say "'n lekker warm klap" wins free tickets to have his ears tormented by Justin Bieber.

Are roadies allowed to use Buffs?

Haha didn't think of that. I'm mainly commuting so understand about the cold in the morning but doesn't know a thing about looking cool on the bike :)

Those look nice!!

Had one for years. Don't leave home without it......

But I've just acquired a thin buff, and like the idea of ear-warmer and neck/chin covered with the buff. I've previously used a fleece buff and that was too warm and took up too much pocket room when it warmed up.....the weather, not my pocket, or the buff.

Buff, road, mountain, hiking, climbing, paddling, sommer to a Metallica concert as well!

You get those guys who wear them all over the place, think it makes them look like this...

Buff!

The only thing better than a BUFF is two BUFF's!

Expensive for a tube of fabric, but worth every cent on a cold ride.
