Awesome. Thanks for sharing this 2Bliss. I am definitely getting both. I see Ms. Karmel has an App for R60 with alot of recipes from first food and onwards. I am sure my wife will find this very helpfull.

Anabel Karmel recipes were very helpful. It really is worth the effort of making the food yourself. Sweet potatoes were always a winner.

Thanks for the input! :) I feel very strongly about feeding babies proper homemade food.

Karmi is already eating a surprisingly large variety of foods and the gradual transition to textures seems to be going well. She has some definite favourites that change from one day to the next (currently, plain mushy bananas are the bee's knees) and a few things she really dislikes (like oats - weird). Luckily Ms Karmel has advice for that too: either mix a favourite with a bit of the "icky" food or return to it later and they might just love it.

My baby girl is only 3 weeks old, tomorrow. So she is still some way off eating anything other than mommy's milk or the odd formula top-up. Still, thanks for all the sharing, as we are first time parents who are tentatively navigating this amazing journey of parenthood, and I find the info here invaluable.

I started reading this thread from the start again yesterday, looking at Karmi's story with new eyes as a father, and it is absolutely heart rending, now even more so, but I thank God that little "Bunny" is doing so well now.

Congratulations on the birth of your little angel, Robbie. How blessed you are. Thank you again for following Bunny's journey :)

Karmi really enjoys books and her own private guard dog still watches over her constantly. Oh and check it out, she is finally starting to grow some hair :D

She is starting to sit really nicely..

Otto books FTW, if our little one chooses toys when we head out the otto books always go with

Indeed!  Her balance is quite good by now.  Not even a doggy "kiss" will topple her on a smooth floor.

We have ourselves a little brainiac :D

Aaw those are the best..we had something similar when the boys were little.

Yay so cute :)

Mine is only interested in standing/walking, she doesn't have balance yet so its a lot of falling and grabbing things :)

Shame, man! At least they don't have that far to fall when they are little. (Unlike us!) Those first steps are probably the thing parents look forward to most after baby has started talking. However, you will need eyes in the back of your head now - they get into everything!

Karmi hasn't started crawling yet, so walking is probably a way off.
