clivem Posted September 29, 2017 Share Who's doing 70.3 East London in 2018? Anyone with names of decent B&B places in Slummies? Thanks
fanievb Posted September 29, 2017 Share do you want to stay close to the start? edit:In Gonubie I can recommend Porky's (B&B) http://www.bedandbreakfasteastlondon.co.za/ or Seaside (self catering) https://www.travelground.com/accommodation/seaside-holiday-apartments In Beacon Bay I can recommend Te Beacon B&B http://www.tebeacon.com/ Edited September 29, 2017 by fanievb clivem
shaper Posted September 29, 2017 Share Am in for this race again. I stay at the Kennaway Hotel, next door to the expo and fairly close to the start and everything is within walking distance https://katleisure.co.za/hotels/kennaway-hotel-2/ clivem

EmJayZA Posted September 29, 2017 Share Doing the race too, but staying with my sister-in-law. Much excite. Little patience. Dullscalpel
Davey_Jones Posted September 29, 2017 Share If you want to make it a bit of a holiday as well, rather stay in Gonubi. In town is really crappy. I stayed at the Majestic. It overlooks the bike park but man is it an old hotel and the surrounding area has not been updated since the 70 (feels like). The Gonubi area is beautiful and 5-10 minutes away. fanievb and clivem

Thank you Gonubie = Place of Legends lekker places to eat and no matter where you stay you are never more than 2km away from the ocean disclaimer: 5-10 min away depends on roadworks and school holidays Rocket-Boy and clivem

EmJayZA Posted December 13, 2017 Share The next 4 weeks is going to be very important. Have to keep the intensity up in training Tell me about it. I am ready to start tapering and go on holiday. Tomorrow morning my run consists of 8 x 1km at threshold pace. Biggest set has been 6 x 1km to date. Those last two are going to be interesting after hill repeats yesterday, and a massive bike tonight with sets over FTP. Still trying to understand why I love this sport despite all the pain it inflicts.
