Just registered at CWC - no queue; took less than two minutes to register two people. Spent much longer looking at nice bike stuff!

must say i was worried about the parking at CWC, but there was more than enough.  when i did the registration i could see that they have smoothed out the process and it actually went faster than last year.

Just walked in and register earlier this afternoon ... took about a minute.

Had to park off-road outside the perimeter fence though but that was no problem.

Some weather apps indicate a slight chance of rain Sunday morning. That would be awesome. Never had a wet Burger since I started in 2011.

If yr is to be believed, it's looking like we'll get a 4mm or rain tomorrow morning starting pretty much with the start of the race and going on the whole morning.

I have not done any races in the rain. Is some kind of protecting from the rain a must? Its actually not going to be too cold but I've never ridden for 3 hours in the rain before so I honestly have no idea if i'm going to end up with hypothermia or not. I suspect not, but wouldn't mind some feedback on wether some sort of protection from the elements is necessary. I don't have one of those fancy lightweight raincoat jobbies so if I do get anything, it will basically be a bin bag with holes cut in it for my arms an head.

Anyway - any suggestions?

Wear something to keep core dry and, most importantly warm, whilst waiting in the chutes.

The rest is a personal choice considering it's a summer rain.

I doubt very much that 4mm assessment. I think we might get at most 1mm. But just take your jacket. And then check conditions at start time.

Been raining steadily around Cape Town - not sure what it's like out in Stellies, but suspect a wet morning on the cards.

Be safe out there guys and enjoy.!
