Remove scratch on Garmin screen?

Recently had a crash and did some light scratching on the screen, any old wives remedies on removing scratches, i heard of rubbing with toothpaste or even brasso, anyone with experiance

Used to use brasso on my watch face many moons ago. Helped with the scratches. I dont know if the latest types of glass can be treated the same?

I have used both brasso and toothpaste to smooth scratches in the glass of Timex (Ironman 30) and Casio watches, either should work on Garmin.

 

Have also used polishing paste made for fiberglass boat hulls.

Jeweller's rouge.

Years ago I got some for polishing scratches on a windscreen and it worked.

It required a lot of elbow grease.

I think that I got it from PG Glass.

 

There is always the danger of breaking or cracking the display while polishing.

don't polish it if it is a touch screen....

 

otherwise brasso does the trick for small scratches...

Another trick is Vaseline. Rub it over the scratch and then wipe away the excess. Haven't tried it on garmin screen yet but has worked on other stuff.
