Perhaps no other company epitomizes Italian bicycles like Tommasini. Tommasini is truly made in Italy with 100% of production coming from the small shop in Grosseto, Italy. Here in 1957, Irio Tommasini began his commercial endeavor building exquisite steel road bikes known for exceptional quality, performance and beautiful paint and finish. Today, Tommasini Bicycles still produces artisan quality steel road bikes but has expanded to high tech materials like carbon, titanium, aluminum and state of the art stainless steel using Columbus XCR tubing.

In 2004 I went to Italy with Bruce Reyneke who was the importer of Tommasini . We visited the factory and the Tommasini family . Old man Tommasini's daughter was prettier than any of the bicycles !

Didn't I see one hanging in your shop on the wall last week?

Years ago when deale and huth cycles closed down they auctioned off all their stock and my toppie ended up buying most of it. He had about 20 frames. Some road and some mtb. They were either red or still unpainted. Non of them had decals yet. He was never able to get decals for them. So unfortunately he still has most of them lying in his garage. I rode them as a lightie, just plain red, no branding on but I knew I was riding a tommasini. Has a different thread for the bb so we managed to get one bb from Alan van heerdan and it had to go onto the frame each time I rode a bigger frame.
