This was my first Kremetart and easily the most fun I've had in a race in a long time.

The organisation was great; the route is stunning and felt very safe.

Found this to be a very festive event with a lot of socialising, but also plenty of hard and fast riding.

First for me too, and my first podium! A very well organised event, amazing food at the stops and friendly support crew - will be back next year.

Baby krokodils

Look they may be mopani worms but i wonder what effect they have. The only thing that comes in little bags like that is dope, not the cycling kind, the other kind.

Everyone knows the cycling type comes in Jiffy bags.

Thanks

Compared my Garmin times to those on the list and it looks like there is on average a 15min extra per stage on list vs my Garmin.

I think it might be due to the fact that I was meant to start in the Vets group but started each stage in the Open group with some buddies.

Ah well. I had fun though ????

Reviving an old thread.

After this race popped up in the must do races thread i looked into it.

Looks like something I want to do.

I see at every stage there is food and beverages, is this included in the race fee are do you take cash with you ?

The route profile looks hectic in the beginning, do I need to be super fit to do this ?

If I'm a 4 hour 947 rider am I fit enough ?

Entry includes all food, breakfast stage 1, lunch stage 2 and snack stage 3, it also includes the potjiekos meal later at the venue. There is also a bag vehicle that goes from stage to stage so you can load additional stuff like energy drinks, gels etc. Beginning is not that bad, stage 3 for me is hardest, finished on a climb that seems to go on for ever. 4 hour 947 fitness will be ok.

Hi

Anyone know if the race is happening again this year or where to find info?

Yes they announced the date today. 8 June 2019

I think that most will miss it due to Panorama Tour being the next week. Just sad that the 2 races is back to back weekends and also I think comrades are 8 June also

Bad timing of the year as Comrades is the day after June 9, IM70.3 Durban is the week before June 2 and as you said Panorama is the week after June 15 - 18.
