Thanks all :)

Yeh started in September where I saw my a** in k2C being untrained. I'm more into MTB though and that's what I train with during the week and on the weekends. Also been doing smaller races like Angstrom Summer Fast One (40km) came 3rd, and then the other day Northern Farm 'Jackal Dash' 65km coming 4th.

Loving riding though and hoping to just keep improving over time :)

Interesting indeed

There is not al lot of people I know that can TT at an avg speed over 40kpm for 62 km.  And that on a normal road bike nogal.  Let alone doing this having less that 1 year of cycling under the belt.  Normally takes a while to develop that type of power.

To go from 947 in 3:01 last year, to a Barberton Marathon in 3:38 & your RFS performance, means a massive improvement in just 3 months.

You like a 2nd Mathieu vd Poel.

Would love to know your secret training weapons.

The future of SA cycling is very bright. Well done to him.

Nice

The talent and the self confidence to know you can do it, what's not to love.

Stupak, it has been alluded to before, but it is time you challenge yourself over the full race distances. Clearly the short stuff is too easy for you. Plus most of the top riders are there, so you will get a better idea of where you fit in.

And let us know when you switch over to long so we can do short and win without you for competition :)

This race is one of my top three races apart from the big two, being the 947 and the CTCT. My top three are the Macsteel Carnival City, Dischem Ride for Sight and Fast One. Due to various circumstances I have had to skip the Macsteel Carnival City and RFS for two years in a row now, which saddens me. :(  The CTCT is also not on this year.

Hope to see you at the remaining ones!

Who is in?

For the first time in 14 years I am doing the short one. Not fit enough for the long one and want to do at least one race before I do Argus. I am so unfit I will probably struggle more on the short route than I normally do on the full route.

I tweeted the organisers about number collection on race day. They said there will be for unlicensed riders from 05h30.
