Well, Scott following commencal with high idler. interesting. Coming back to the win: that boy has serious loads of BMT. The top 3 were savages on that track. holy crap. (Need more tracks like that!)gutted for Loris, he looked bloody damn fast. one of the best races this season: literally down to the split second.

But for VdS, they seem to be experimenting with the high idler (concentric to the higher pivot) as well, with VitalMTB noting it's just for testing, and possibly for only certain tracks. Why an idler? Well, the main pivot is quite high and, without an idler to route the chain up and over it, the suspension would firm up considerably under drivetrain loads.
