that and the stack by Mille johnset were pretty darn spectacular. hotdamn they did well to get to ride again.

Was only a matter of time. Really stoked for Vergier - top class rider and very humble in his win. Bit bummed for Pierron, but the weight of the expectation of four in a row must've been crazy.

 

It's a shame there were no cameras on the top section, so that we can see what Vergier did to make up that time.

 

Let's also not forget the Bulldog! Super stoked to see McDonald finally riding to his abilities, after those years in the wilderness with GT.

 

I sometimes wonder whether the YT Mob intentionally pair Gwin with second-tier riders to placate him and not have competition in the team.

 

If Rachel stayed on track she would've absolutely decimated the time of Seagrave. I'm hoping Nicole can be back up to speed in MSA and give Atherton a run for her money.

Stretch, don't get me wrong. I'm no fan of Rachel, but her quali time was a strong indicator of her pace. Nevertheless, she binned it and Seagrave took a well deserved win. Picked her for my fantasy league, so scored some points there.

I still reckon it would have been close if she didn't go off course. She was 4 or 5 up before that and ended up 6 behind. Tahnee finished 4 secs faster than Rachel's quali time. But you know im a fanboy.... So I might be biased![emoji16]

Great race but in a way not as exciting as the Val di Sole version. I think the track while hard and steep doesn't have the same difficulty and it was harder for riders to let it hang out and make up time like last week. My FL team took a beating... dropped 100 in the overall thanks to Shaw and Estaque. Estaques run was the best to watch though :-)

Mmm what happened to Shaw. Well down when he fell over. Vergiers run was awesome. Chuffed that Macdonald is back.

Also asking...Luca Shaw..? It was like he was in limp mode? Was he riding for the overall? 

Its like hes over thinking it? In the team vids after Val De Sole he said he didn't know what happened, next thing he was on the ground. But this week he was slow from the get go. 

Its a shame because he seems a great talent and nice guy. He'll pull through. 

 

I'm really liking how the young guns are stepping up at Syndicate in Greg's absence. Although Its sad not seeing Greg fight it out, It definitely helped push the other two.

Vergier is also such a great kid. Doesn't seem to take himself to serious and when all the attention was on Shaw the last couple of weeks he just kept doing his thing.

 

Greg and Gwinn is back at MSA in Aug. I think everyone will go home, take a quick break before Canada. Expect it to be one heck of a race.

100% Loris was on the edge! 

 

Personal opinion was that the track was so steep it was hard to be on the limit because the speed generated just tipped you over in a heartbeat. Armchair expertise..

 

Inconsistent.. Maybe, but theres only 1 guy who has actually been consistent this year. I know what you mean though. The sport is in a good place though.

I think the ladies (Tahnee in particular) have figured out how to beat a healthy Rachel Atherton. The field might be a bit thin but Quality over quantity for me.

 

And the absence of a healthy Greg & Aaron & a Gee Atherton who's off the boil means there's at least 2 spots going begging on the podium or the top 10.

 

Add to that the depth and strength of the EWS. Wow. Really Wow.
