I was chuffed for loic... But those frenchies are taking over.!!

The other good result of the day was gee.... Still with a healing wrist... That oke of tough as nails... My whole attitude to him as changed dramatically... And he does supremo course previews

was a great race, so damn exciting!

Agreed wrt Gee: the dude is clearly not the fragile kind. Makes me doubt the extent of Gwin's thumb issue. Frankly, I think he is focused completely on that one thing he cannot win ;)

talking about school's in: Tahnee got spanked. hard. Teacher Rachel was handing out negative marking. Absolutely ominous form for worlds. Did not smark Tahnee's excuse about being tired because she sessioned a particularly bothersome bit of track too much during the pre-race practice session. She's a pro now. she should know what, when and why. That or she's desperate for that overall title.

Did anyone see how fast Minaar was on the first 3 segments?

Damn, did anyone catch him launching and clearing that section at the bottom near end of the tree line

His Instagram had a pic of it and it was on the live feed. Mad. He reckons after his stall in the Tarzan section he had extra pressure to go faster and make sure he still cleared that

You see it with the MX guys too. A seemingly small hand injury keeping them off the bike for ages but break a collar bone on Tuesday-Race on Sunday.

I reckon you're right. The WC overall was gone a long time ago so pointless to rush back for 15th overall. Better to stay home, get healthy and focus on Worlds.

I'm 218th in the PB Fantasy League - no chance of winning Gee's bike... sob :-)

Any predictions of what the La Bresse track will look like. A video I saw a while back was not promising...

world cup for the men is over, with Pierron not needing to even show up. rest well you champion.

Rachel however, needs to work abit. She's on 986 points, and 2nd placed Tahnee on 906. IIRC ,with the 2018 rule changes, the final race of the WC season doesn't earn you any qualifying points, so only the points from finals counts.

According to the UCI, points are as follows (qualifying points in brackets):

  1. 200 (50)
  2. 160 (40)
  3. 140 (30)
  4. 125 (25)
  5. 110 (20)

So if Tahnee wins at La Bresse (next weekend, 24 -26 Sep), Rachel only needs 121 points to take the series. That is, she needs to finish 4th or better.

Unless Rachel stacks out, La Bresse could be bitter-sweet for Tahnee.

And, with only a week between world cup final round and world champs, no one needs to stack.
