My advice would be to look at the other thread which is about 160 pages long on this exact topic. I think it's even titled the same...... I'm not being a dick, I just can't bear ground hog day...

I'm very much enjoying my 1x oval set up bikes. Funny enough... with oval it for the first time feels like I'm pedaling in a round circle.

For MTB, I don't see the point in oval rings.

But for road riding, I think it is worth a try.

I for one will definitely give oval chainrings a go on my road bike if my chainrings wore out.

And the absoluteBLACK chainrings look hot!

There are many threads on this. Go to search - forums - type oval, and away you go. Or try and tie down the search words to elicit what you're after?

Good luck.

This one seems extensive

The long and the short;

IF the oval makes a difference, cool. If it doesn't, it still retains my chain and turns over, so it's silly not to get one as it does exactly the same job as a round one and there may or may not be scientific benefits.....

But at least on mtb you'll be on 1x... doesn't oval mess up your FD shifting?

I had oval on my road bike and you're right, it feels like you're peddling in circles now

Eish, you must be struggling to sell anything, peddling in circles (unless it's a big circle, or a very busy area)

But if you are pedaling in circles, (like you should on a bicycle), now that's a good thing.  :whistling:  :ph34r:
