Capacity reached, so no late entries available at registration (just checked with organisors).  Are you looking for a 50km entry, Spekatrix?  I'm also in the market for an entry, but for the 22km.

Have you posted on the event's Facebook page?

I really enjoyed the ride (ok enjoy is maybe a strong word to use for those sandy bits).

There was some challenges with the organisation, parking being one of them but with a new venue there are always bound to be some of those. For the guy whose bike got stolen.. sorry to hear hope it turns up somewhere.

It's Stellenbosch thing. Bikes getting nicked left right and center.

Trailtag is pathetic. Still zero results out

Its live, was fixing technical glitch and removing all guys that took the short route..

Also. Its preliminary, so if wrong, drop them email so can get sorted..

That was fun day out and great start to my season..

Did it on fixed gear road bike.. The road gearing did NOT work on some of the hills but passed tons people on flats :). Those 28’s really rolled nice on the jeep tracks..

Loved it, riding all those farm trails I rode as a kid, it was amazing. The sand was awesome, so few people seem to be able to ride sand. Hint, you need the right pedals.

If they can find a way to reach Eden and the Mont Marie trails and add a more technical route I can see Spier become the new home of the Stellenbosch MTB challenge.

The hospitality area worked so much better, I can understand if some would prefer the end and that area to be closer but thinknit worked and they will take the learnings , for example bigger bike park area, sorting out the parking. But for me it was a success and enjoyed the ride for what it was.

Not sure how it was on the sharp end of the race but did not have any problems with fellow riders. Most were friendly and in good spirit, and to the guys that rode for 5 hours.. kudos in keeping on going
