Really interesting to see how Everton have change their style slightly. They've now scored 7 in 2 games(in 90mins) but at the same time also conceded 7 in 2. We always felt if you score 3 you should be winning the game, Well they did and drew (albeit coming from behind against United) and last night scored 4 and drew again (only ET separated the 2 teams).

2nd round in the league has started, the jostling for top 4/6 positions is on and the fight at the bottom is hot, The teams in danger of going down are going to cause a few upsets in this 2nd round I am sure, Going to be an interesting end to the season with the league alot closer than it was for the last 2 seasons, Yet i still see City running away with it and wrapping it up with maybe 2 or 3 games to go.

Had to follow the commentary on my phone as we had load shedding... but sounded a cracker.

Really not the end of the world, would way rather focus on the other two cups and our league form a bit...

Will watch the highlights tonight. Our defense is a bit off though... hopefully we can find a bit of balance between parking the bus and throwing down the kitchen sink

5-4 scoreline.. I think it is safe to say neither coach will be happy with their team's defense [emoji6]

Yeah, few things worse than scoring 4 away from home and going home empty handed..

Two goals down to Lloris from the sound of it, he's in a very shady patch of form of late.

And also a soft penalty from Hojberg who's probably been our best player this season.

Yeah time to get Joe Hart between the sticks and see if he has any of his City form left in him. Knowing Joe, the one thing he is, is VERY hungry for regular 1st team football again.

Not even just against lower opposition.. Sometimes depending on the schedule and opposing team's strength and their coach's tactic abilities you have to adjust.

Liverpool lose all their central defenders for the entire season, the new striker out for a significant stretch, the new midfielder for months and the first choice keeper is out for a good chunk of the season (and appears to have been on the booze when he returns) and when they struggle its down to tactics.

But when City struggled last season it was down to Laporte being injured according to the commentators.

Personally I reckon it's City's title to lose. They are effectively 10 points clear of Man U if count the game in hand as a W.

Everyone else seem to be playing for second. All I am hoping for is that Liverpool remains in the top 4 and have a decent go at trying to win the Champions League.

Tis a sad sad day indeed. My youngest has deflected and is no longer a MU fan and worst of all, he will now not be walking alone......

Luckily my oldest still is very very much MU and thus he is continuing as the 4th generation in the family to wear red,  well the only red that matters anyway  :P

Was more a case of this thread having been going for years with little noise from the red half of Manchester. Heck we get more input from the Birmingham fans.

Anyways, football is all about the great rivalry's - it's good to have Man Utd back near the top

You need to be near the top yourself if you want to make comments like that.

Absolutely. If City throws this one away, it will be a laugh.

Speaking of laughing, if Everton and Villa win their next 2 games (they are tough) Liverpool will be 9th :D

I kinda figure Pep and his team knows a thing or two about closing a season out, so would be very very shocked if they somehow conspired to lose it.

Shows one how tough the Premier League is. And no, it's not a laughing matter if that occurs. At least to us Pool fans.

And yes I'm nervous about tonight's away fixture against Leipzig. Hoping we can get away with a either a draw or sneak a lucky win.

Mate, after what us ManU's had to go through the last few years after the two decades before that, you learn to laugh.

Nothing like our 30 year wait for a national title. So last season's win means a helluva lot to me.

Trust me the Fergie years were pure hell for non MU fans and in particular us Liverpool fans. Not sure any team will ever touch the heights that Fergie's teams did or be as consistent at winning titles.

I'm a Spurs fan... but this post of yours is a good example of why everyone hates Utd

Just remember it could have been worse. He could've defected to the wrong half Manchester. :whistling:

Instead he just did an Ince.
