As said above, the OP has a right to his opinion, like everyone else. However, the premise (loss of values) is subjective. It is merely the OP's opinion, nothing more. Offense is the collateral damage of free speech. 

 

I am offended that I spent the time reading all 9 pages of this fred. :P

Funny you say that, as the thought occurred to me too.  The only thing that made me hesitate when thinking that there is no way someone could honestly be this poopipants about a magazine article was to note the OP's location!

Does the content cause offence? No.

 

Do you choose to be offended by insignificant rubbish? Yes. 

 

So because you didn't get offended, he shouldn't either? And thus there is nothing wrong with the situation because you deem it to be appropriate? 

 

Just as one person being offended doesn't make it the end of the world, you not being offended doesn't make it right either. . .

Knowing Ride people leads me to believe they would have acknowledged the letter - maybe not done anything about it - but at least been civil enough to note the complaint.
