Crazy Socks

Just a thought but is the price of bike socks just crazy. I mean R140 for one pair of socks. when i know it dose not cost more than R40 for one pair. just saying

Are these ankle socks, or long socks? If long, how long?

Are these for MTB or road cycling?

Black or white, or a fancy design pattern? Jelly beans perhaps?

Brand name or not? 

Padded on the soles, with mesh at the top or just plain knitting?

The most expensive pair of socks (for cycling, mtb, ankle height, thick on the bottom, thin on top) that I own cost me R47 about a year ago.  That's excluding the unknown cost of the one pair of long cycling socks I got for my birthday...

 

I guess I need to upgrade to something better!  Everyone knows it's like stickers on your bike!  It makes you faster!

If it brings you joy and gets you riding its money well spent. 

 

R150 is a decent for socks. Defeet is a little pricey at R320. 

 

I have found my versus, Fizik and Finni socks to be of a much better quality than the cheap Falke stuff that lasts a month or two. 

 

Also, the sock maketh the kit.

R140 - R47 = mortgage paid off a little sooner.

Not in one go but the mental ability to drop R140 into socks, in my opinion, equals a loose wallet.
