Is she Irish? sounds a bit like a Scott to me. She is a very good as an anchor, first featured in the studio during the Giro.

Northern Irish.

Her name is Orla Chennaoui - she was on SkySports, but didn’t take not of her until she joined the Eurosport team.

Brian Smith, also in that pic is the Scot.

Well there is a thin line between some of the Northern Irish and the Scots since most of the Protestants migrated there from Scotland, her accent is really on the Scot side of things.

"Orla Chennaoui is an Northern Irish television journalist. Chennaoui was born in Draperstown, County Londonderry in Northern Ireland. After completing a degree in Law and French at Queen's University Belfast, she moved to Edinburgh to take a post-graduate diploma in journalism at Napier University"

Regardless of her origin, I repeat my assertion that she is really good in this role, has good insight and handles others well, and up for a laf as well. Lovely lass.

Brian's been around ES for a long time (ex team manager of TDD, responsible for the Cav fiasco imho) I find he talks too much, although only 2nd as a Mr Know-It-All to CK

She is good in her role. There are post stage summaries on their YT channel, and are enjoyable too.

If memory serves me correct, Smith was also with Lampre-Merida when LM joined them.

This is the first season I'm watching the tour ... am I alone in thinking that a new dimension might be added if race radio wasn't allowed?

I think that was Brent Copeland, who was at MTN b4 Brian

Brian hasn't worked at a team since he got shown the door at TDD as far as I know.

I know he was keen on picking up at British Cycling after Shane Sutton's exit but that didn't happen.

They tried that a few years ago, it didn't work out, Safety is  big reason for the radios.

They don't have radios at the World Champs and Olympics

????

Please supply justifiable reasons for not following the only cycling race that is actually the only globally acknowledged sporting spectacle for those that don’t even follow the sport of cycling........
