Jaco Steyn Posted December 15, 2019 Share I purchased mine from Makro the day the deal was launched in October last year. I got it to replace my 7 year old Cannondale that I used for commuting to work and back. It's now done about 3000km and I have not had one single issue with it. Admittedly it's not subjected to any rough riding, but only for commuting. Still original tyres and brake pads. I'm still very happy with my purchase. DaveCT Posted December 12, 2020 Share Is this a Makrodale? Same olive green colour, but not sure about the specs? https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/item/hardtail-mountain-bikes/444582/cannondale-trail-5-2018

ChrisF Posted June 2, 2021 Share Are these "okay" entry level bikes ? With basic components ... OR ..... are these cr@p bikes that flex and fall appart ?
LeoKnight Posted June 2, 2021 Share As far what most people indicated that the frame was actually not that bad. ChrisF

Just make sure if you are not capable working on a bike, you pay an LBS to look over the bike. A quick point of reference being the front brake housing on the outside of the leg vs on the inside Rowl
MORNE Posted June 28, 2021 Share I bought my wife one and subsequently upgraded almost everything on it. It was great value at the original selling price which as R4500 at makro. I would never pay R8500 for the stock bike. This is hers now. PS: it has don2 2x CTCT, the worst K2C in history and a few other 50-75km rides in between....and it hasn't fallen apart yet lol. I think it has been since that pic for obvious reasons but If i remember right the cable guides on the front of that cheapo fork are conducive to the routing being like that. Anyway, at least you are starting to warm up to the left-lever-front brake idea. You didn't even mention that! Haha AdamA and ChrisF
