Bologna sure is a beautiful city

The grand tours (and most cycling broadcasts) are certainly about more than just the racing.

The visuals even keep non-cyclists interested.

Very happy to see Tao in there! I am a big fan and hope he does well in this race. He has been doing a lot of super support riding over the last 2 years so its great that he gets a chance to do something for himself.

And watch out for the "please use a payment method registered in this country" trick.

Express VPN sorted that problem..????

Anyone else getting funny issues on Eurosport Player? Mine isn't showing any Giro coverage on the schedule or upcoming coverage.

Pascal!!!![emoji51]

Powerful Sprint That!

Thought that Caleb Ewan had it nailed down with such a strong lead out in the final km but the German was just way too strong.

Great sprint indeed.

Reminded me of that other German ..the tall one with the sharp hairstyle

Another disappointment for TDD as Giacomo punctured with 10km's to go.

They really need a bit of luck.

"We saw with 250 to go that none of the sprinters had started the sprint. I decided to take my speed and go full gas and luckily it was enough. For sure there was big pressure, but it is my first Grand Tour and you never know what will happen in your first Grand Tour. I’m happy to have won my first stage."

Pascal Ackermann, winner stage 2 ????

Bet Sam Bennett is spitting chips as the Bora DS' try not to txt... 'Told you so'.

So even before the tour there are interesting movements...

Looks like an unhappy Sam Bennett could go to Katusha mid-season to plug the Kittel sized hole. No Giro because of Ackerman, no California or Tour because if Sagan.

Nibali to Trek, Landa to Marida, Tommy D looking to move as well.
