BaGearA Posted October 21, 2018 Share american classic is probably your only option or maybe with A dt350 with heavy grease Shimano ,microspline are 100% dead silent but your sram cassette won't fit on there Edited October 21, 2018 by BaGearA Forthelove
Skylark Posted October 21, 2018 Share Heavy grease is not a solution, unless the op wants to repack his freehub once a week. MFK
igg Posted October 21, 2018 Share Onyx hubs: https://onyxrp.com/product-category/mtb-hubs/ Really expensive, but no ratchet design so 100% silent. V18
Knersboy Posted October 21, 2018 Share Second on the American Classic, not totally silent but very quiet
V18 Posted October 21, 2018 Share Onyx ftw. Heavy but very porno. The virtual instant engagement is also a plus. My next hubset will be deathly quiet
Dirt Tracker Posted October 21, 2018 Share Tell you what, I rode a friends old Cannondale C29 hardtail (the xe one with the 80mm lefty) thing just to the shops the other day and that thing does not make noise. At all. Not the slightest tick. Actually weird and off-putting how quiet and smooth that rear hub is. Me rida my bicycle Posted October 21, 2018 Share Hi have a set of DT 350 and they are less noisy than Hope but still make quite a bit of noise what about Chris King
droo Posted October 22, 2018 Share The only truly silent XD hub is the Onyx. Good engagement too. As in almost instant. But it is chunky. American Classic still make a noise and the engagement is rubbish. Spares are an issue as well, since they went under and are still looking for a buyer. DT and King are loud, but not as loud as Hope.
